Seminar Dr. Fang Yang

This past May 9 Dr. Fang Yang gave a seminar about "Structural relaxation seen on metallic glass-forming droplets" at INTE-EEBE (Campus Diagonal Besòs). Dr. Fan Yang, invited speaker from the Institute of Materials Physics in Space (German Aerospace Center - Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR)), explained the benefits from containless processing techniques and disscused the dynamics in metallic-glass forming melts. The seminar was also transmitted sucessfully via teleconference.

Dr. Fang Yang holds a Master of Science from Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel and obtained his PhD in Natural Sciences at the Technical University of Munich in 2009 (PhD title: Dynamics in aqueous silicate melts investigated with quasi-elastic neutron scattering at high temperature and pressure). Dr. Fang Yang joined the German Aerospace Centre in Cologne in 2009 where he works as a researcher.
