Jordi Llorca academic member of the Institute of Catalan Studies

We are pleased to announce that Jordi Llorca, principal investigator of Nanoengineering of Materials Applied to Energy (NEMEN) group, has been appointed as academic member of the Institute of Catalan Studies.

The Institute is structured in 5 departments, established according to large thematic units and hosts part of the scientific elite in the Catalan linguistic field. Each department is made up of a maximum of twenty-eight academic members, emérito members and presidents of the affiliated societies subscribed to the sections.

The Institute promotes research dissemination and also hosts, at its headquarters, initiatives of other institutions that are closely related to research and culture.

Jordi Llorca´s official presentation as new academic member of the Sicence and Technology department will be held on Monday, April 8, at 6:45 p.m., in Sala Pere i Joan Coromines of the Institute (Carrer del Carme, 47, Barcelona). The opening speech will focus on The contribution of nanotechnology to the rational design of catalysts.
