INTE in the European project BIKE

Among the more than 1,600 proposals from across Europe that have been submitted to the call, the European Commission has granted a MSCA Innovative Training Network support grant to the BIKE project (ID: #813748), which has the participation of the group of Jordi Llorca, researcher of the INTE.

The BIKE project (Bimetallic Catalysts Knowledge-based development for Energy applications), financed with €3.72 million and coordinated at the UPC by Jordi Llorca, is an innovative network that will train 14 young scientists in the development of bimetallic catalysts for energy purposes and, specifically, for hydrogen production processes.

The increase in hydrogen production in recent years, due to its importance in the environmental and energy fields, has created a strong need for qualified personnel for research and management, both public and private. The project wants to address this need and offers training that covers from the preparation and characterization of catalysts to modeling and industrial applications, working closely with all stakeholders working in this field.

BIKE will be executed by an international consortium of 3 public research centers, 3 industrial partners, 7 universities and 1 consulting firm, and is coordinated internationally by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Richerche in Italy.
